Resurfacing Project Scheduled to Begin in Montgomery and Lincoln Counties

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, a resurfacing project located on Route E in Montgomery and Lincoln counties, from Interstate 70 in Montgomery County to Route UU in Silex in Lincoln County, is expected to begin as early as April 24. The length of the improvement is 35 miles with anticipated completion by late June.

The $3.5M contract was awarded last year to Magruder Paving, LLC of Troy, MO. The contract also includes a seal coating project, located on Route E in Lincoln County, from Route UU in Silex to U.S. Route 61. This project is anticipated to begin in early June.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working for the duration of the project. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
