  • Chestnut Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway

When: 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, until 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 10

What: Contractor crews to pave the approach to Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) as part of the Kansas Expressway Pedestrian Improvements Project in Greene County.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Brower Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway
  • Chestnut Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway
  • Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) Open
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes
  • No signed detours are planned
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

Project Information:

  • D & E Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Nixa is doing the work for a low bid amount of $13.3 million and is a cost-share with the City of Springfield.
  • The project is to be completed by November 1, 2024.
