JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Local maintenance crews will narrow Interstate 44 in Laclede County tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 3, for bridge maintenance.
Weather permitting, crews will close the driving (right-hand) lane of I-44 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at mile marker 143.4 for work at the Gasconade River Bridge.
The passing lane is expected to remain open and advanced warning signs will direct motorists to merge prior to the work zone.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
