Overnight lane closures scheduled on WB/EB I-70 for pavement evaluation, April 1-3

This work will take place between Odessa and Blue Springs, 7 p.m. until 7 a.m., April 1-3

LAFAYETTE AND JACKSON COUNTIES – Crews will be performing pavement evaluation from approximately 7 p.m. until 7 a.m., during the evening and overnight hours from Monday, April 1 through Wednesday, April 3. This work will require intermittent shoulder and lane closures on westbound and eastbound I-70 from Odessa to Blue Springs. Crews will begin in Odessa and work on WB I-70 toward Blue Springs. Once crews complete evaluation on WB I-70, crews will then move to EB I-70 from Blue Springs to Odessa. This work will not require a complete closure, but motorists may experience delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
