MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Greene County Route J/NN Bridge CLOSED Over U.S. Route 60

East of Springfield Friday, April 12-15

Where: Greene County Route J/NN bridge CLOSED over U.S. Route 60 east of Springfield

When: 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, until 6 a.m. Monday, April 15

What: Contractor crews will begin repairs on the Greene County Route J/NN bridge over U.S. Route 60 east of Springfield. The Route J/NN bridge will be CLOSED over the weekend as crews work underneath the bridge. Westbound Route 60 traffic will be shifted up and over Route 60 using the Route J on and off-ramps. Monday morning, April 15, the Route J/NN bridge will return to the new configuration with the northbound lane shifted to the center lane and a three-way stop at each end of the bridge.

Work on the bridge is due to it being struct by a vehicle on October 3, 2023.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Greene County Route J/NN bridge CLOSED over U.S. Route 60 east of Springfield
  • Westbound Route 60 traffic will be shifted up and over Route 60 using the Route J on and off-ramps
  • Eastbound Route 60 ramp to southbound Route NN and northbound Route NN ramp to eastbound Route 60 Open
  • Route 60 Open in both directions
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. – Columbia is doing the work for a low bid amount of $508,615.43.

The project is to be completed by June 1, 2024.
