Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

March 25 - 31, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area March 25 - 31. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.   

All Counties 

Moving operations such as brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County 

Route K – Roadside work planned March 25 - 28 from Scott Boulevard to Missouri Route 163One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route M Utility work planned March 25 - 29 from Route DD to Liberty Lane. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.   

Interstate-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Callaway County      

Route J Culvert pipe replacements planned March 25. All lanes will be CLOSED motorists will need to seek an alternative route from Route H to County Road 328 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

Routes J and Y Roadside work planned March 25 - 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing continues nightly seven days a week, 7 p.m. - 6 a.m, at the Missouri River Bridge.The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

Route BB – Bridge deck replacement project continues at the Hillers Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

Route OO – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Holts Summit planned March 25 - 29. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

 

Eastbound U.S. Route 54 – Widening eastbound U.S. Route 54 from the Missouri River Bridge to the U.S. Route 63 interchange continues. Work is planned on the right shoulder behind a temporary barrierA 10-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Missouri Route 94 – Shoulder work continues from the U.S. Route 54 interchange to Wehmeyer Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

U.S. Route 63/Missouri Route 94 over U.S. Route 54 Bridge rehabilitation continues under the overpass bridge on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54.  The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

Route W over U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues, on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54 under the overpass bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

 

Camden County      

Route V Culvert replacements planned March 26 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

Cole County    

U.S. Route 54 – Pavement repairs planned March 27 - 28 from Shepard Hills Road to Route CC. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing continues nightly, seven days a week, 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. at the Missouri River Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

Cooper County      

Route HH – Bridge replacement project continues at the Brush Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic. Motorists need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.       

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

 

Gasconade County     

Route 19Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Hermann planned through April 2024. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Howard County 

Route T – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 25. All lanes will be CLOSED motorists will need to seek an alternative route from Missouri Route 5 to Tobacco Ave, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

Route E – Pavement repair planned March 25 - 28 from Missouri Route 87 to County Road 220. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route AA – Pavement repair planned March 25 - 28 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

 

Laclede County 

Routes F and BB Culvert pipe extension continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.       

Maries County 

Route 28 – Pavement repairs planned March 25 - 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 133 – Pavement repairs planned March 25 - 28 from Route C to Missouri Route 52. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route AA Pavement repairs planned March 25 - 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge, south of Belle. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.      

Route BB – Road resurfacing to begin March 27. One lane will remain open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.  

 

Miller County 

Route A – Culvert replacements planned March 25 – 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes A, F, and JJ Pavement repair planned March 2528. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route BB – Road resurfacing to begin March 27. One lane will remain open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.  

 

Moniteau County 

U.S. Route 50 – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton planned March 25 - 29. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 87 – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of California planned March 25 - 29. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Route B – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton planned March 25 - 29. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route T – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 26 - 27 from Route C to Harmony School Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Route Y – Pavement repairs planned March 28 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

 

Morgan County 

Missouri Route 135 – Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Stover planned March 25 - 29. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route NN – Pavement repairs planned March 26 - 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Osage County      

Route 133 – Road resurfacing continues from Route 52 in Maries County to U.S. Route 63 in Osage County. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Phelps County      

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.       

Pulaski County 

Missouri Route 28 – Roadside work planned March 25 at South Ellen Ave in the city of Dixon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 17 – Culvert replacement planned March 26 at Brownville Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route W – Culvert replacement planned March 27, 1 mile north of Raceway Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux Creek Bridge near mile marker 158.4.The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8 The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024. 

Washington County 

Route C – Pavement repairs planned March 25 - 28 from Missouri Route 21 to Route Z. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route A – Bridge replacement continues at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
