MoDOT to close eastbound Interstate 70 lanes at Route 79 for bridge maintenance

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers traveling on eastbound Interstate 70 at Route 79 can expect possible delays during an extended weekend bridge rehabilitation project. All work is weather permitting.

Starting Friday, March 22 at 9 p.m., crews will close the far-left lane of eastbound I-70. At 11 p.m., crews will close a second left lane on eastbound I-70.

Each subsequent morning at 6 a.m., crews will reduce the lane closure to just the far-left eastbound lane. During these lane closures, the southbound Route 79 entrance ramp to eastbound I-70 will also be closed. All lane closures will end at 5 a.m. Monday, March 25.
