Kansas City area maintenance work for March 18-22

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from March 18-22. All work is weather permitting.

CASS COUNTY

Route EE between Missouri Highway 7 and Timberview Rd.: intermittent lane closures on Mon., March 18, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work.

Route D between Kenneth Rd. and 147th St.: intermittent lane closures on Wed., March 20 through Fri., March 22, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 435 SB at 63rd St.: right lane closed on Mon., March 18 and Tue., March 19, from approximately 9 am until 2 pm daily, for ditch work.

Interstate 70 EB at 23rd St.: left lane closed on Wed., March 20 through Fri., March 22, from approximately 9 am until 2 pm daily, for barrier wall repair.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route Y between SE 701 Rd. and SE 921 Rd.: lane closure on Wed., March 20, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for drainage work.

Route CC between NE 1025 Rd and Route YY: lane closures on Thu., March 21 and Fri., March 22, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm each day, for brush cutting.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 13 at 24th St. in Higginsville: flagging operation on Mon. March 18, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for drainage work.

PETTIS COUNTY

Missouri Highway 127: lane closures for brush cutting:

  • Between Higgins Rd and Route D on Mon., March 18 and Tue., March 19.
  • Between Means Rd. and Crawford Rd. on Wed., March 20 and Thu., March 21.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
