Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

March 18 - 24, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area March 18 - 24. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.   

All Counties 

Moving operations such as brush cutting and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County 

U.S. Route 63 Utility work planned March 18 - 20 from Martin Lane to Loy Martin Road. One lane will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit. 

Route DD Utility work planned March 18 - 20 from Edwards Road to Nashville Church Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.   

Route K – Roadside work planned March 18 - 21 from Scott Boulevard to Missouri Route 163.  One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route M Utility work planned March 18 - 22 from Route DD to Liberty Lane. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.   

Interstate-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Callaway County      

Route YY – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 18. All lanes will be closed from County Road 177 to the end of state maintenance between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

U.S. Route 54 – Roadside work planned March 19 from County Road 1048 to Route B.  One lane will be closed.  

Route J – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 20. All lanes will be closed from Route MM to County Road 362 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Route J Pavement repairs planned March 21. All lanes will be from Route J to County Road 328 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing continues, taking place nightly, seven days a week, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Missouri River Bridge.One lane to be closed during nighttime hours.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

Route BB – Bridge deck replacement project continues at the Hillers Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic with a signed detour in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

U.S. Route 63/Missouri Route 94 over U.S. Route 54 Bridge rehabilitation continues underneath the overpass bridge. Work will take place 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54.  The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

Route W over U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues underneath the overpass bridge. Work will take place 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54.  The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Eastbound U.S. Route 54 – Widening eastbound U.S. Route 54 from the Missouri River Bridge to the U.S. Route 63 interchange continues. Work is taking place on the right shoulder of U.S. Route 54 behind a temporary barrier.  A 10-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Missouri Route 94 – Shoulder work continues from the U.S. Route 54 interchange to Wehmeyer Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

 

Camden County      

Route Z Culver replacements planned March 20 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Cole County    

Route J – Culvert replacements planned March 18 - 21, 1 mile west of the community of Osage City. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing continues, taking place nightly, seven days a week, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Missouri River Bridge.One lane to be closed during nighttime hours.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

 

Cooper County      

I-70 westbound Culvert pipe replacements planned March 18. from Route mile marker 101.2 to mile marker 99.8. The driving (right) lane will be closed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Route Z – Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route HH – Bridge replacement project continues at the Brush Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic. Motorists need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.      

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

Crawford County    

Missouri Route 19 – Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 21 from Winklemann Road to the city of Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route 19 – Roadside work planned March 18 - 21 from Grand Road to McCormick Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route VV – Roadside work planned March 18 - 21 from Route M to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route M – Roadside work planned March 18 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

Route H – Roadside work planned March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

Routes H, P, and PP – Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

 

Dent County     

Missouri Route 19 – Pavement repairs planned March 18 – 19 from Missouri Route 68 to Route TT. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Missouri Route 119 – Roadside work planned March 20 – 21 from Route E to state maintenance ends. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

 

Gasconade County     

Route W Culvert pipe replacements planned March 18 - 22. All lanes will be closed at several locations (changing daily) between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Route 19ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Hermann through April 2024. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

 

Howard County 

Route E – Pavement repair planned March 18 - 21 from Missouri Route 87 to County Road 220. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Laclede County 

Route C – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 18 - 19. All lanes will be closed from Opel Road to Missouri Route 5 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Route F – Culvert pipe extension starts March 18. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.       

Route BB – Culvert pipe extension starts March 18. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

Maries County 

Route 28 – Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 133 – Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 21 from Route C to Missouri Route 52. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route AA Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge, south of Belle. The road is closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.      

Route 133 – Road resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 52 in Maries County to U.S. Route 63 in Osage County. There will be daily lane closures from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

 

Miller County 

Missouri Route 42 Culvert pipe replacement planned March 18 - 22 from Pemberton Drive to Missouri Route 17. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Moniteau County 

U.S. Route 50 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton are scheduled March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 87 ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of California are scheduled March 18 - 19. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Route T – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 19 - 20 from Route C to Harmony School Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Morgan County 

Route T – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 18. All lanes will be closed from Missouri Route 52 to Fairgrounds Road between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. 

U.S. Route 50 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Syracuse are scheduled March 18. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 135 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Stover are scheduled March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Osage County      

Missouri Route 100 – Culvert replacements planned March 18 - 21 from U.S. Route 50 to Route C. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Routes U and Z – Culvert replacements planned March 18 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 133 – Road resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 52 in Maries County to U.S. Route 63 in Osage County. There will be daily lane closures from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Phelps County      

Route AA  Roadside work planned March 18 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Routes B and F – Roadside work planned March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Outer Road 44 – Roadside work planned March 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.       

 

Pulaski County 

Missouri Route 133 – Culvert replacements planned March 18 - 19 from the city of Hancock to the city of Dixon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 17 – Culvert replacements planned March 20 - 22 at Brownville Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route O – Culvert replacements planned March 20 -22 from Concord Road to Calvin Lane. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux Creek Bridge near mile marker 158.4.The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8. One lane will remain closed for the duration of the project between Exits 163 and 169. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024. 

Washington County 

Route C – Pavement repairs planned March 18 - 21 from Missouri Route 21 to Route Z. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 185 – Roadside work planned March 18 - 22 from Route T to Route N. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Route A – Bridge replacement continues at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic and motorists will need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
