LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from March 11-15. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUNTY
Interstate 70 WB between Interstate 435 and Sterling Ave.: left lane closed on Mon., March 11, from approximately 9 am until 3 pm, for barrier wall repair.
I-70 EB at 23rd St.: left lane closed on Tue., March 12, from approximately 9 am until 3 pm, for barrier wall repair.
I-435 SB at 63rd St.: right lane closed on Thu., March 14 and Fri., March 15, from approximately 8 am until 3 pm, for ditch work.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route E between Missouri Highway 23 and NE 951st Rd.: lane closures on Mon., March 11 and Tue., March 12, from approximately 7 am to 4 pm, for brush cutting.
MO 23 between Business Highway 50 and NE 400 Rd.: lane closures on Wed., March 13, from approximately 7 am to 4 pm, for bridge flushing.
US Highway 50 eastbound at Clear Fork Creek: lane closure on Thur., March 14, from approximately 7 am to 4 pm, for bridge flushing.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
MO 23 at various locations: various lane closures from Mon., March 11 until Fri., March 15 for bridge flushing.
Route FF between Foster College Rd. and Country View Rd.: full closure each day from Mon. March 11 until Fri., March 15 from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work.
Business Highway 13 at various locations between Missouri Highway 13 and Missouri Highway 20: flagging operation on Mon., March 11 and Tue., March 12, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for ditch work.
Route T between Haygood Rd. and Shelby Rd.: full closure on Wed., March 13, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work.
Missouri Highway 13 at 24th St. in Higginsville: flagging operation on Fri., March 15, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for ditch work.
PETTIS COUNTY
Crews will be performing brush cutting operations at various locations in Pettis County. This work will require various lane closures. These will not be complete closures. Work will take place from approximately 7 am until 4 pm.
- Route H between McCurdy Rd. and Elm Springs Rd on Mon., March 11 and Tue., March 12
- Missouri Highway 127 between Higgins Rd. and Route D on Wed., March 13
- MO 127 between Means Rd. and Crawford Rd. on Thu., March 14 and Fri., March 15
PLATTE COUNTY
Interstate 29 exit 13 to Route D (KCI Airport): left lane closed from 8:30 am on Monday, March 11 until 4 pm on Wednesday, March 13 for bridge deck repair.
SALINE COUNTY
Route NN between Route C and Klondike Ave.: full closure each day (Mon., March 11 until Fri., March 15) from approximately 8 am until 3 pm for culvert replacement work.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
