JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The start date has been pushed back for extending several box culverts in preparation for a multi-route pavement improvement project. Construction crews now plan to begin the work on March 18 on Laclede County Routes BB and F. This work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is expected to continue into May. One lane will remain open and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.
Once the culvert work is complete, the contractor will move to resurfacing approximately 45 miles on Routes A, BB, F, YY, and Outer Road 44 in Laclede County and Route T in Camden and Laclede counties. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $6,146,912.62 contract to Willard Asphalt Paving, Inc. for this work, which is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 1, 2024.
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
