ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a groundbreaking ceremony with KCI Construction with Bartlett & West to mark the celebratory start of construction for the Interstate 55 Corridor Improvements Project.
The ceremony will be held on Friday, March 8 at 11 a.m. on the vacant lot adjacent to the Herculaneum Commuter Lot (McNutt Road south of I-55/McNutt Interchange) in Jefferson County.
Along with adding a third lane to Interstate 55 from Route Z to US 67, the project will alleviate the traffic bottlenecks in the corridor and will improve safety and reliability on both I-55 and US 67.
