Kansas City area maintenance work for Mar. 4-8

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Mar. 4-8. All work is weather permitting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Crews will be performing brush cutting operations at various locations in Johnson County. This work will require various lane closures. These will not be complete closures.

  • Monday, Mar. 4 on Route E between Route MM and NE 851st Rd.
  • Tuesday, Mar. 5 on Route E between NE 951st Rd. and Missouri Highway 23
  • Thursday, Mar. 7 – Friday, Mar. 8 on Missouri Highway 2 between Missouri Highway 13 and Chilhowee

Route Y between NE 921st Rd. and NE 701st Rd.: complete closure from Wednesday, Mar. 6 until Friday, Mar. 8 for drainage work.

U.S. Highway 50 westbound from Missouri Highway 58 to the Blackwater River: right lane closed on Tuesday, Mar. 5, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm for edge work.

Missouri Highway 2 between NE 421st Rd. and NE 351st Rd.: full closure on Wednesday, Mar. 6, from approximately 7 am until 4 pm, for culvert replacement work. 

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Business 13 between Missouri Highway 20 to 8th St. in Higginsville: a flagging operation will be conducted on Monday, Mar. 4, from approximately 8 am until 4 pm, for drainage work.

Route CC between Missouri Highway 23 to Cook’s Store Rd.: complete closure on Tuesday, Mar. 5 from approximately 7 am until 3 pm for brush cutting operations.

Route KK between Borland Rd and Ebenezer Rd.: full closure on Thursday, Mar. 7 from approximately 7 am until 3 pm for brush cutting operations.

Route KK between Mulkey Station Rd. and North Outer Rd.: potential closure on Friday, Mar. 8 from approximately 7 am until 3 pm for brush cutting operations.

PETTIS COUNTY

Missouri Highway 765 (Main Street in Sedalia) eastbound at U.S. 65: left lane closed on Tuesday, Mar. 4, for bridge work.

RAY COUNTY

Route Z over Keeney Creek south of Orrick: flagging operations on Tuesday, Mar. 5 and Wednesday, Mar. 6, from approximately 8:30 am until 4 pm each day, for bridge deck repair.

SALINE COUNTY

Route ZZ from MO Highway 127 to where MoDOT maintenance ends: full closure each day (Monday, Mar. 4 until Friday, March 8) from approximately 8 am until 3 pm for culvert replacement work.

Route UU between U.S. Highway 65 to where maintenance ends: full closure each day (Monday, Mar. 4 until Friday, March 8) from approximately 8 am until 3 pm for culvert replacement work.

Route NN between Route C and Klondike Ave.: full closure each day (Monday, Mar. 4 until Friday, March 8) from approximately 8 am until 3 pm for culvert replacement work.

 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
