JOHNSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing portions of Missouri Highway 2 for culvert replacement work on Feb. 27-29. Work will take place from approximately 7 am until 4 pm each day. All work is weather permitting.
Tuesday, Feb. 27: Crews will close Route 2 at SW 271st Rd. from approximately 7 am until 4 pm for culvert replacement work.
Wednesday, Feb. 28 and Thursday, Feb. 29: Crews will close Route 2 at SW 421st Rd. for culvert replacement work. The road will re-open after working hours each day.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
