Upcoming maintenance work across the Kansas City region, Feb. 26 - Mar. 1

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing work In Johnson and Pettis counties from Feb. 26 – Mar. 1. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Pryor Road southbound over Interstate 470: right lane closed on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 8 am to 4 pm for bridge deck work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Crews will be performing brush cutting operations at various locations in Johnson County. This work will require various lane closures. These will not be complete closures.

  • Monday, Feb. 26 – Tuesday, Feb. 27 on Route E between Missouri Highway 13 and NE 101st Rd
  • Wednesday, Feb. 28 on Route E between Route CC and NE 851st Rd
  • Thursday, Feb. 29 – Friday, March 1 on Route E between NE 851st Rd and Missouri Highway 23
  • Monday, Feb. 26 – Friday, March 1 on Missouri Highway 2 between MO-13 and Chilhowee

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 20 from Peacock Rd. to Rocky Ford Rd.: full closure on Monday, Feb. 26, from approximately 7 am to 5 pm for culvert replacement work. Please use an alternate route.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route BB from Greer Rd. to Longwood Rd.: full closure on Monday, Feb. 26 – Tuesday, Feb. 27 from approximately 8 am to 4 pm for culvert replacement work.

U.S. Highway 65 southbound over Turkey Creek: right lane closed on Monday, Feb. 26 and Wednesday, Feb. 28, from approximately 8 am to 4 pm for bridge support work.

PLATTE COUNTY

Route B bridge over Grove Creek in south Edgerton: full closure on Thursday, Feb. 29 from approximately 8 am to 4 pm for bridge deck work.

SALINE COUNTY

Route ZZ from MO Highway 127 to where MoDOT maintenance ends: full closure each day (Monday, Feb. 26 until Friday, March 1) from approximately 8 am until 3 pm for culvert replacement work.

 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
