Overnight Detours for WB U.S. 60 Traffic as Ingram Overpass Construction Continues

SIKESTON—Westbound Route 60 traffic in New Madrid County will utilize detours overnight as construction of the Ingram overpass in Sikeston, Missouri continues. Several overnight closures of westbound Route 60 will be necessary as contractor crews set the bridge girders.

This section of roadway is located from Interstate 55 to Route 61 near Sikeston, Missouri.

Weather permitting, night work will take place from 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29 to 6 a.m. Friday, March 1.

During the overnight westbound closures, traffic will be detoured to northbound I-55 to Exit 67, then west on U.S. 62 to U.S. 61.  Motorists will travel south on U.S. 61 to westbound U.S. 60. Signs and message boards will be in place to direct traffic. Eastbound traffic will not be impacted.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

This project received $2 million in funding through Governor Mike Parson’s cost share program and will receive funding from the city of Sikeston.
