Upcoming maintenance work across the Kansas City region, Feb. 20-23

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing work In Johnson and Pettis counties from Feb. 20-23. All work is weather permitting.

CASS COUNTY

Interstate 49 over 195th St (between Peculiar Way and Cass Parkway): Northbound right lane will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 22 from approximately 8:30 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Crews will be performing brush cutting operations at various locations in Johnson County. This work will require various lane closures. These will not be complete closures.

  • Tuesday, Feb. 20 on Route E between Missouri Highway 13 and NE 101st Rd
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21 – Thursday, Feb. 22 on Route E between Route CC and Route MM
  • Friday, Feb. 23 on Route E between Route MM and NE 771st Rd
  • Tuesday, Feb. 20 – Friday, Feb. 23 on Missouri Highway 2 between MO Hwy 13 and Chilhowee

PETTIS COUNTY

Route NN from Missouri Highway 127 to the county line: full closure from Tuesday, Feb. 20 until Friday, Feb. 23 for culvert replacement and ditch work.

RAY COUNTY

Route Z over Keeney Creek south of Orrick: flagging operations on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and Wednesday, Feb. 21 from approximately 8:30 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.

SALINE COUNTY

Route ZZ from MO Highway 127 to where MoDOT maintenance ends: full closure from Tuesday, Feb. 20 until Friday, Feb. 23 for culvert replacement work.

 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
