MoDOT: Plans to Rebuild and Resurfacing I-44 Near Strafford Focus of Virtual (Online) Public Meeting

Greene & Webster Counties– The public is invited to a virtual (online) public meeting starting Monday, February 26, to learn more about the I-44 Rebuild and Resurface Project near Strafford, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The meeting will be available for two weeks from Monday, February 26, until Friday, March 8, 2024, and can be accessed at www.modot.org/southwest.

This project includes:

  • Rebuilding and resurfacing the pavement on westbound I-44 between Strafford east of Missouri Route 125 (mile marker 90.1) and just west of the Webster County Route B overpass (mile markers 96.1)
  • Realigning the curve in Strafford (mile marker 91.5) east of Missouri Route 125
  • Extend I-44 exit ramps:
    • Webster County Route B (mile marker 96)
    • Missouri Route 38 in Marshfield (mile marker 100)
    • Sampson Road (mile marker 107)
    • Conway Rest Area (mile maker 111)

The I-44 Rebuild and Resurface Project’s estimated total cost is $50 million.

Construction will take place Summer 2024.
