UPDATE--U.S. Route 160 in Howell County Reduced for Improvements

WILLOW SPRINGS –Contractor crews continue work to improve U.S. Route 160 in Howell County. The project includes replacing culverts and adding a southbound turn lane at the Route BB intersection in West Plains, Missouri. Motorists should anticipate a lane reduction with a 10-foot width restriction.

Contractor crews are currently placing temporary traffic signals located near County Road 2570 and County Road 2730. The signals will be used to guide traffic through the area during the construction of the two culvert extensions, which is scheduled to be completed in early May. Motorists should use extreme caution through the work zone.

Weather permitting, overall project completion is anticipated Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
