Eastbound single-lane closure planned tonight on Rocheport Bridge

Crews will be performing drainage repair work

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Tonight, eastbound Interstate 70 will be narrowed to one lane over the Missouri River, just west of Exit 115, for drainage repair work. Construction crews will close the right-hand (driving) lane for eastbound traffic on the Lance Corporal Leon Deraps I-70 Missouri River (Rocheport) Bridge overnight Thursday, Feb. 8, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Both westbound and eastbound traffic are currently using the new westbound bridge, but westbound travelers should not be affected during the drainage repair work.

Motorists are advised to be alert, pay attention to signs and traffic control personnel, and plan ahead for potential delays.

The new westbound bridge is complete and construction on the new eastbound bridge is underway. Progress can be viewed and followed via the cameras linked at the project’s webpage modot.org/RocheportBridge. While there, learn more details about this $220 million project which began in early 2022 and is on time to be completed with both bridges open to traffic in December 2024.
