Upcoming maintenance work across Kansas City area, Feb 5-9.

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing work across the Kansas City area from Feb. 5 – 9. All work is weather permitting.

CLAY COUNTY

Interstate 29 NB over U.S. Highway 169: the right lane will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from approximately 9 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.

I-35 between I-29 and Brighton Avenue: crews will be performing various intermittent lane closures in both directions from Tuesday, Feb. 6 - Friday, Feb. 9, from approximately 7 am to 4 pm for litter pick-up.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Crews will be performing brush cutting operations at various locations in Johnson County. This work will require various lane closures. These will not be complete closures.

  • Monday, Feb. 5 on Route Y between SE 921 Rd and SE 701 Rd
  • Tuesday, Feb. 6 on Route Y between SE 951 Rd to SE 701 Rd
  • Wednesday, Feb. 7 – Friday, Feb. 9 on Route E between Route CC and Route MM
  • Monday, Feb. 5 – Friday, Feb. 9 on Missouri Highway 2 between MO Hwy 13 and Chilhowee

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

MO Highway 131 over I-70: the bridge will be completely closed on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from approximately 8 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.

PETTIS COUNTY

Pettis County Route T between Oak Point Rd and Wood Rd: the highway will be closed on Monday, Feb. 5, from approximately 7 am to 4 pm for culvert replacement work.

PLATTE COUNTY

I-29 NB over the Platte River: the right lane will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 8, from approximately 8 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.

RAY COUNTY

Ray County Route Z over Keeney Creek, south of Orrick: A flagging operation will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 9, from approximately 9 am to 4 pm, for bridge deck repairs. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
