Lane closure planned tonight on westbound I-44 in Phelps County

Exit 189 closed, Exits 186 and 195 to remain open

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The right-hand (driving) lane of westbound Interstate 44 will close tonight for concrete pavement repairs. The left-hand (passing) lane will remain open.  

Urgent concrete repairs will require an overnight closure of the westbound driving lane of I-44 between Rolla and St. James beginning tonight, Thursday, Feb. 1, at 9 p.m. and continuing through noon on Friday, Feb. 2. 

Both the on- and off-ramps at Exit 189 (Route V/HyPoint Industrial Drive) will be closed. Exit 195 (Route 68/8 in St. James) and Exit 186 (U.S. Route 63 in Rolla) will remain open. 

All eastbound exits in this area will remain open. 

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
