TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 248/Flat Creek Bridge in Barry Co. CLOSED For Two Weeks Beginning Feb. 5

Where: Missouri Route 248 over Flat Creek in Barry County west of Galena

When:  8:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m., Monday-Thursday, for up to two (2) weeks beginning February 5

What: MoDOT crews doing bridge work

Traffic Impacts:

  • All lanes of Route 248 bridge CLOSED during the day for up to two (2) weeks
  • Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either end of the bridge but will not be able to drive across it
  • All Route 248 lanes OPEN during nighttime hours and weekends
  • No signed detour
  • Drivers should find alternate route
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
