LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing work on multiple bridges across the Kansas City area from Jan. 30 – Feb. 1. All work is weather permitting.
Clay County
- Interstate 29 NB over US Highway 169: The left lane will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from approximately 9 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.
Lafayette County
- MO Highway 131 over Interstate 70: The bridge will be completely closed on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from approximately 8 am to 4 pm for bridge deck repair.
Ray County
- Ray County Route Z over Keeney Creek, south of Orrick: A flagging operation will be conducted from approximately 9 am to 4 pm on Thursday, Feb. 1, for bridge deck repairs. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
