TRAFFIC ALERT: Due to Weather, Barton Co. Route W Culvert Replacement Postponed to Week of Feb. 5

When: Beginning week of February 5, 2024

Where: Barton County Route W over East Dry Fork Creek northwest of Lamar

What: Recent winter weather has forced contractor to postpone start of culvert replacement project. Project will replace two (2) box culverts, install object markers and new permanent striping.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Route W CLOSED over East Fork Dry Creek northwest of Lamar for up to 160 days
  • Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through it
  • No signed detour
  • Drivers should seek alternate routes to avoid work zone
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closure
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
