Upcoming Bridge Replacement Projects in Ripley County

Notice of Opportunity for Public Meeting

SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace four bridges in Ripley County.  

The bridges to be replaced include: 

  • The Route 142 bridge over Drainage Ditch 2, located near County Road B-3AA north of Naylor, Missouri.
  • The Route 142 bridge over Harris Creek between 142E-26 and 142E-28.
  • The Route W bridge over Drainage Ditch 1 near W-1.
  • The Route W bridge over Drainage Ditch 3, located near Route AA.

Construction to replace the bridges could begin as early as spring 2025. The roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each bridge for approximately three months during this time.

Maps, plans, and other information prepared by MoDOT will be available for public inspection and copying at MoDOT’s Sikeston District office, 2675 N. Main St. in Sikeston, Missouri. Any person affected by these projects may request that a public meeting be held in regard to the proposed improvements.
