Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Dec. 18 - 24, 2023

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Dec. 18 24. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.   

All Counties     

Moving operations such as mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County    

Interstate 70 – Pavement repair planned Dec 18 - 19. Expect nightly lane closures at mile marker 130.8 between 6:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.  

Route N – Roadside work planned Dec. 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Outer Road 70 (ABC Lane) – Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 20. All lanes will be closed at the northwest corner of I-70 and Route Z, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

 

Callaway County    

Route A – Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 19. All lanes will be closed between County Roads 181 and 166, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Route B – Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 20. All lanes will be closed between Route N and County Road 1041, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

 

Camden County 

U.S. Route 54 – Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 20 at Bumper Hill Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.    

Route N – Roadside work planned Dec. 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

 

Cole County     

Route 54, eastbound Pavement repair planned Dec. 20 – 21, under the Missouri Route 179 overpass. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

 

Cooper County       

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

 

Crawford County    

I-44 – Pavement repair planned Dec. 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 19 – Pavement marking planned Dec. 18 - 22 from Route DD to Eldon Ave. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.    

Routes E, H, T, and PP Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.      

Route 8 – Roadside work planned Dec. 18 – 22 from the city of Steelville to the city of Berryman. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Route 49 – Roadside work planned Dec. 18 – 22 from Route 19 to the city of Viburnum. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route VV – Roadside work planned Dec. 1822, from Route M to Beers Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.    

    

Gasconade County     

Route K Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 18 - 22. All lanes will be closed at several locations (changing daily) between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

 

Howard County   

Route A – Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 18 - 22 from Route 124 to Route B. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Route AA – Pavement repair planned Dec. 18 - 22 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.    

 

Laclede County 

Route J – Roadside work planned Dec. 21 – 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

 

Maries County 

Route P – Culvert pipe replacement planned Dec. 18 - 22 at County Road 440. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Route W – Culvert pipe replacement planned Dec. 18 - 22, 0.5 miles from the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

 

Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.        

 

Moniteau County 

Route 87 – Pavement repair planned Dec. 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Morgan County 

Route T – Pavement repair planned Dec. 18 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Osage County        

Route HH Pavement repair planned Dec. 18 - 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

 

Phelps County      

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.       

 

Pulaski County 

Missouri Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacement planned Dec. 19 - 22 south of Route C. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

 

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux River Bridge.The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.

Washington County 

Route C – Culvert pipe replacements planned Dec. 18 - 22 from Route 21 to Route JJ. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
