JACKSON COUNTY - Crews will continue to make an urgent bridge joint replacement at westbound I-70 and Manchester. The repair and replacement is scheduled to take place in three phases. Phases I and II are already complete. Traffic in all lanes on WB I-70 at Manchester and the ramp from WB I-70 to Manchester will remain open from Dec. 8-10.
Crews will then move into Phase III on Monday, Dec. 11. Phase III repairs will take place 24-hours a day through approximately Sunday, Dec. 17. Motorists can expect the following closures for the duration of the work:
Phase III - Beginning Dec. 11 through approximately Sunday, Dec. 17:
- Crews will CLOSE one lane on WB I-70 at Manchester.
- Crews will CLOSE the auxiliary lane and the ramp from WB I-70 to Manchester.
*This will NOT be a complete closure on WB I-70. Motorists may notice different traffic patterns in the on WB I-70 as work is completed and crews complete phases of work.
Please use alternate routes. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
