Work will take place on U.S. 71 from I-435 to Blue River Rd. evening and overnight, Dec. 4-5

JACKSON COUNTY – Permit work for overhead sign truss inspection will take place from approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4 until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5. This work will require a one lane closure on northbound and southbound U.S. 71 from approximately I-435 to Blue River Rd.  This will not be a complete closure of U.S. 71. One lane will be closed at a time during the duration of the work.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
