REVISED SCHEDULE:
JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will make the following closures near I-35 southbound at I-670 eastbound for bridge repair work and bridge joint replacement. The following work, which began on Nov. 6, will be extended through Dec. 1 (extended from Nov. 27).
Ongoing now through Dec. 1
- Crews will close I-35 SB at I-670 EB
* The ramp from I-70 EB to I-35 SB will remain OPEN
- Crews will close the ramp from 13th Street/Pennsylvania Ave. to I-35 SB.
Traffic will still be able to enter I-35 SB from 12th Street but all traffic will be directed to I-670 EB. Please note, that additional closures are also in place near this work area as part of the Buck O'Neil Bridge project and the bridge rehabilitation work taking place at I-670 EB and Wyoming Street.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
