UPDATE: Overnight work planned for I-29

Buchanan and Andrew County pavement improvement project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The pavement improvement project on Interstate 29 south of Business Route 71 (Andrew County) to just before the Pigeon Creek Bridges south of Route O (Buchanan County) will move to its final stage beginning Wednesday, Nov. 15. Crews from Herzog Contracting Corp., contracted by the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin diamond grinding sections of I-29, including the concrete portion below Missouri Route 6 (Frederick Boulevard Bridge), to smooth the roadway’s surface.

Crews will also be placing rock around the guardrail and edges of the roadway beginning Thursday, Nov. 16, through Saturday, Nov. 18.

All work will take place overnight and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November.
