Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Nov. 5 - 13, 2023

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Nov 5 - 13. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.  

All Counties     

Moving operations such as mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County         

Route BB – Bridge replacement concludes. The road over Interstate 70 is expected to reopen Nov. 8, subject to change.        

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025.   

Callaway County       

Route B – Pavement repair planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

 

Cole County       

Missouri Route 179 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Route B to West Main Street. A 12-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.       

Cooper County       

Interstate 70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025.  

Crawford County     

Routes E and T Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.      

Gasconade County      

Route EE – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 - 9. All lanes will be closed between the hours of 7 : 30 am and 3 : 30 p.m. 

Howard County        

Missouri Route 240 – Pavement repair planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Laclede County        

Route O – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 – 9.  The road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Route T – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 – 9.  The road will be closed between 8 : 30 a.m. and 2 : 30 p.m. 

Maries County   

Missouri Route 28 at County Road 313 – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Route W – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Miller County        

Business Route 54 (Bagnell Dam) – Equipment maintenance planned. The Bagnell Dam Bridge will be closed Nov. 9 between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Work being done by Ameren Missouri under a MoDOT-issued permit. Use an alternate route. 

Route C – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Mill Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.      

Route P – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Lanes Fork Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.   

 

Morgan County        

Route T – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 - 13. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.      

Osage County         

Route NN – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 7 - 13. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.        

 

Phelps County       

Routes E and NN – Roadside work planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.        

Route T – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.           

Interstate 44 – Road resurfacing continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.       

 

Pulaski County 

Route D – Culvert pipe replacement planned Nov 6. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route 28 – Roadside work planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Missouri Avenue from Old Route 66 to Fort Leonard Wood – Intersection marking planned Nov 6 - 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
