JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The new Boone County Route BB bridge over Interstate 70 is in the final stages, however these final pieces will affect interstate traffic and those who use the ramps at Exit 115. The contractor plans to pave the bridge approaches for the new bridge beginning on Thursday, Nov. 2 and continuing through Saturday, Nov. 4. During this time there will be intermittent ramp closures at Exit 115. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
The contractor also plans to remove temporary overhangs on the new bridge during the overnight hours. For the safety of motorists, while the overhangs are being removed, I-70 traffic will be narrowed to one lane in each direction under the bridge. This work is scheduled overnight tonight, Oct. 31 and tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 1. Motorists should expect delays.
The new Route BB bridge over I-70 is scheduled to reopen on or before Wednesday, Nov. 8.
All projects are weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
