ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The project to resurface the northbound on and off ramps at the intersection of U.S. Route 71 and Route T in Andrew County that was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 24, has been postponed to Monday, Oct. 30 due to contractor schedule delays. Additionally, crews now also plan to begin resurfacing of the north and southbound U.S. Route 71 and U.S. Route 59 ramps. Each ramp will be closed intermittently during daylight hours for paving. Motorists should seek an alternate route.
Resurfacing of U.S. Route 71 and Route T/U.S. Route 59 ramps is expected to be completed in early November.
Herzog Contracting Corp. LLC is paving the ramps as part of a larger resurfacing project including portions of U.S. Route 71 between Maryville and Savannah and U.S. Route 59 between Savannah and Interstate 29 which is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2024.
