Equipment maintenance to close Bagnell Dam on Thursday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Business Route 54 (Bagnell Dam) in Miller County is scheduled to close Thursday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for equipment maintenance. Ameren Missouri, working under a Missouri Department of Transportation permit, will close Bagnell Dam to all traffic at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5. The maintenance work is only expected to take a few hours and the roadway should reopen at or before 2:30 p.m. that same day.

Message boards were placed last week, in advance of the closure, to advise motorists to plan an alternate route on Thursday.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
