Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Oct. 2 - 8, 2023

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Oct 2 - 8. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.  

All Counties    

Moving operations such as mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County     

Route BB Pavement repair planned Oct 2. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route B – Roadside work continues. Expect daily lane closures between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Work being done by a contractor under a MoDOT-issued permit. Project is scheduled for completion in October 2023. 

Route F – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Coon Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.     

Route BB – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed over Interstate 70. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.     

Routes H, K, and AB – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday through Friday. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.     

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025. 

Callaway County     

Jade Road – Sealing operations planned Oct 4. The road will be closed up to four hours between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. 

Route AB – Sealing operations planned Oct 4. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Routes AD and CCStriping and guardrail installation planned. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.       

Camden County     

Route A from Route C to city limits of Richland – Pavement repair planned Oct. 2 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement continues from the Niangua River Bridge to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. A 12-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.     

Cole County     

Route D – Pavement repair and sealing operation planned Oct. 2 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

 

U.S. Route 50 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from U.S. Route 54 to Dix Road. Width restrictions are in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.     

U.S. Route 50 westbound – Bridge rehabilitation continues over the Moreau River. An around-the-clock lane closure and 11-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled for completion in September 2023.        

Missouri Route 179 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Route B to West Main Street. A 12-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.   

Cooper County     

Missouri Route 179 at Korte Road – Pavement repair planned Oct 2. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 87 from I -70 to Klinton Drive Pavement repair planned Oct 4. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route B at Billingsville Road Pavement repair planned Oct 4. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025. 

Crawford County   

Routes H and PP Culvert pipe replacement planned Oct. 2 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Missouri Route 8 from Steelville to east of Courtois Creek – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in October.  

 

Dent County     

Missouri Route 119 at the Pigeon Creek bridge – Bridge deck replacement continues. Expect daily lane closures between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.       

Gasconade County     

Routes T and V – Culvert pipe replacement planned Oct. 2 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Laclede County   

Outer Road 44 – Pavement repair planned Oct 2. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Miller County     

Business Route 54 (Bagnell Dam) Equipment maintenance planned. The Bagnell Dam Bridge will be closed Thursday, Oct. 5, between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Work being done by Ameren Missouri under a MoDOT-issued permit. Use an alternate route. 

Route C – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Mill Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.     

Moniteau County        

Route V Pavement repair planned Oct 2. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Missouri Route 87 from Route A to Route C Pavement repair planned Oct 4 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from U.S. Route 50 to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Morgan County      

Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Missouri Route 52 to U.S. Route 50 in Moniteau County. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.     

Route 5 – Road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement continues from Route 52 to the Niangua River Bridge in Camden County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.     

Route 52 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, from the Benton County line to Versailles. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.     

Osage County     

Missouri Route 89 from the city of Belle to the city of Linn Pavement repair planned Oct. 2 – 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Routes Y, Z, and HH – Pavement repair planned Oct. 2 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Phelps County     

Route W – Culvert pipe replacement planned Oct. 2 - 5 One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Outer Road 44 – Roadside work planned Oct 2 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

U.S. Route 63Utility roadside work continues. Expect daily lane closures between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Project is scheduled for completion in October 2023. 

Missouri Route 68 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Route 68 at Matlock Drive to Missouri Route 8 at Courtois Creek. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.     

Interstate 44 – Road resurfacing continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.     

 

Pulaski County     

Missouri Route 17 – Culvert pipe replacement planned Oct 2. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route U – Culvert pipe replacement planned Oct 3. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route H (Ichord Ave) at GW Lane – Culvert pipe replacement planned Oct 4. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
