MoDOT to close lanes, ramps on westbound I-44 over next two weeks

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Interstate I-44 in St. Louis County near Eureka should be aware of some upcoming lane and ramp closures on the interstate, starting next week.

Weather permitting, crews will close the following on westbound I-44:

  • Wednesday, September 20 through Friday, September 22: crews will close the right lane on westbound I-44 near and the ramp from Lewis Road to westbound I-44 each night between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning. This is for continued bridge maintenance on the I-44 bridges over the Meramec there.
  • Monday, September 25 through Friday, September 29: crews will close the left lane on westbound I-44 between Williams Road and the Six Flags exit each night between 6 p .m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. This is to place the concrete for new median barriers along the interstate.
