Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Sept. 11 - Sept. 17, 2023

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Sept. 11 - 17. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.  

All Counties   

Moving operations such as mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.  

Boone County    

Route FF – Culvert pipe replacement planned Sept. 14. The roadway will be closed from Route Z to Cline Road from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Route F – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Coon Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.    

Route BB – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed over Interstate 70. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.    

Routes H, K and AB – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday through Friday. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025.

Callaway County    

Route H – Pavement repair planned Sept. 12 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Routes AD and CC – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.    

Camden County    

Route A from Route C to Bear Road Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 – 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement continues from the Niangua River Bridge to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. A 12-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Cole County    

U.S. Route 54 Missouri River Bridge – Bridge maintenance planned Sept. 10 - 11. Expect  lane closures from 6 p.m. - 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. One lane will be closed, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route D – Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

U.S. Route 50 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from U.S. Route 54 to Dix Road and from North Shamrock Road to Vetter Lane. Width restrictions are in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.    

U.S. Route 50 westbound – Bridge rehabilitation continues over the Moreau River. An around-the-clock lane closure and 11-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled for completion in September 2023.   

Missouri Route 179 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Route B to West Main Street. A 12-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

U.S. Route 50 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Dix Road to Truman Boulevard. A 12-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

U.S. Route 54 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Stadium Boulevard to Main Street. A 14-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023. 

U.S. Route 54 – Safety improvements continue near Hickory Hill. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Cooper County    

Route A – Sealing operations planned Sept. 11. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route E – Sealing operations planned Sept. 12. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route M – Sealing operations planned Sept. 13. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Route O – Sealing operations continues. Expect daily lane closures between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. One lane will remain open, and crews will have a pilot car for traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023. 

Interstate-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025.

Crawford County    

Route VV – Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Routes H and N Roadside work planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Missouri Route 8 from Steelville to east of Courtois Creek – Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023. 

Gasconade County    

Routes E and W – Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Laclede County 

Missouri Route 32 at Tulsa Drive Culvert replacement planned Sept. 11. The roadway will be closed at Tulsa drive in both directions between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Route O from Missouri Route 95 to Route AD – Pavement repair planned Sept. 11. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

Route AD – Pavement repair planned Sept. 12. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.     

 

Maries County    

Missouri Route 133 from Route C to Missouri Route 52 Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Missouri Route 28 from Route Y to County Road 506 – Culvert pipe replacement planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route Z Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Moniteau County      

Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from U.S. Route 50 to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.   

Morgan County    

Route TT Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. One lane will remain open, and flaggers and a pilot vehicle will lead traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Missouri Route 52 to U.S. Route 50 in Moniteau County. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Route 5 – Road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement continues from Route 52 to the Niangua River Bridge in Camden County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Route 52 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, from the Benton County line to Versailles. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Osage County    

Missouri Route 133 from U.S. Route 63 to the city of Meta – Culvert pipe replacement planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route Y from the city of Byron to Missouri Route 89 – Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route Z – Pavement repair planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route U – Road resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

 

Phelps County    

Routes B and BB – Roadside work planned Sept. 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Missouri Route 68 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Route 68 at Matlock Drive to Missouri Route 8 at Courtois Creek. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.    

Interstate 44 – Road resurfacing continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.    

 

Pulaski County    

Route PP Culvert pipe replacement planned Sept. 11. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Route HH from Butler Road to Batesville Lane Culvert pipe replacement planned Sept. 13. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
