Route 60 in New Madrid County Reduced for Ingram Overpass Construction

SIKESTON—Construction of a new overpass on Route 60 in New Madrid County will soon be underway.

This section of roadway is located from Route 61 to Interstate 55 near Sikeston, Missouri.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 25,  Route 60 will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews set a temporary barrier wall for this project.

The next phase will start Friday, Oct. 6. During this time, the roadway will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction for construction of the overpass at Ingram Road. Completion is anticipated by Monday, July 1, 2024.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area. 

This project received $2 million in funding through Governor Mike Parson’s cost share program and will receive funding from the city of Sikeston.
