ST. LOUIS – Motorists should be aware of multiple closures throughout St. Charles County and north St. Louis County starting this weekend.
MoDOT will close the southbound I-170 entrance ramp from westbound I-270 on Friday, Sept. 8 starting at 9 p.m. The ramp will remain closed through Monday, Sept. 11 at 5 a.m. Westbound I-270 motorists may access southbound I-170 by continuing I-270 past I-170 to the Lindbergh exit, travel south across the overpass to I-270 east to southbound I-170.
Northbound Route 79 drivers wishing to access eastbound Interstate 70 should be aware that the Route 79 entrance ramp to eastbound I-70 will be closed starting at 11 p.m. Friday, September 8.
During this work, the far two right lanes of eastbound I-70 at the Route 79 entrance ramp will also be closed. The lane closures and the eastbound I-70 entrance ramp is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Sunday, September 10. Motorists will be detoured to continue north on Route 79, exit at East Terra Lane and loop around and under Route 79 and enter southbound Route 79 to head east on I-70.
