Resurfacing project to begin in Gentry, Harrison counties

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A resurfacing project on two Gentry/ Harrison County roadways is scheduled to begin next week. Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will resurface Routes FF and J, beginning Monday, Aug. 28.

Crews plan to begin on Route FF, closing the roadway daily from dawn until dusk in segments approximately 2 miles in length through Wednesday, Aug. 30. Crews then plan to move to Route J, once Route FF is complete. Travelers will need to seek an alternative route during the intermittent closures.

This project also includes resurfacing of Harrison County Route NN, Gentry/Worth County Route UU and Worth County Route Y. A date to begin resurfacing on these routes has yet to be determined. All five routes are anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
