JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Aug 28 – Sept. 3. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.
All Counties
Moving operations such as mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.
Boone County
Interstate 70 westbound, mile marker 126 - 128 – Roadside work planned Aug. 27 - 29. Expect nightly lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-70 eastbound, mile marker 124 - 128 – Roadside work planned Aug. 29 - 31. Expect nightly lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route UU at Gillespie Bridge Road – Utility work continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2023.
Route F – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Coon Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.
Route BB – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed over I 70. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.
I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024 (modot.org/RocheportBridge).
Missouri Route 163 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed over the Bonne Femme Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
Callaway County
Route C at Julie Street – Culvert pipe replacement planned Aug. 28. Julie Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Routes AD and CC – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.
Camden County
Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement continues from the Niangua River Bridge to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Cole County
Route C bridge over U.S. Route 54 – Pavement repair planned 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Aug. 29. Center lane will be closed allowing through traffic, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. Closure includes the off ramp from U.S. Route 54 eastbound.
U.S. Route 50 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from U.S. Route 54 to Dix Road and from North Shamrock Road to Vetter Lane. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2023.
U.S. Route 50 westbound – Bridge rehabilitation continues over the Moreau River. An around-the-clock lane closure will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
Missouri Route 179 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Route B to West Main Street. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
U.S. Route 54 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Dix Road to Truman Boulevard and from Stadium Boulevard to Main Street. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
U.S. Route 54 – Safety improvements continue near Hickory Hill. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Cooper County
Routes A and E – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 30. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Interstate 70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024 (modot.org/RocheportBridge).
Crawford County
Missouri Route 19 from Route HH to Roanoak Road – Pavement repair planned Aug. 38 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route VV – Brush cutting planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route H – Brush cutting planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route DD – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Dent County
Missouri Route 32 from the city of Salem to the city of Licking – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Gasconade County
Routes E and EE – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Howard County
Missouri Route 124 from Missouri Route 240 to Route Y – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Laclede County
Route YY – Pavement repair planned Aug. 30 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Miller County
Route C – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Brumley Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
Moniteau County
Route H – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route E – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. One lane will remain open, and a pilot vehicle will lead traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from U.S. Route 50 to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Morgan County
Route E from Route C to Route K – Pavement repair planned Aug. 30. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route TT– Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 30. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes E and K – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. One lane will remain open, and a pilot vehicle will lead traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
Missouri Route 5 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Missouri Route 52 to U.S. Route 50 in Moniteau County. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Route 5 – Road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement continues from Route 52 to the Niangua River Bridge in Camden County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Route 52 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect daily lane closures between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. from the Benton County line to Versailles. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Osage County
U.S. Route 50 eastbound at Maries River bridge– Pavement repair planned Aug. 29 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 133 from U.S. Route 63 to the city of Meta – Culvert pipe replacement planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route Y from the city of Byron to Missouri Route 89 – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes FF and OO – Culvert pipe replacement planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route U – Road resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Phelps County
Missouri Route 68 – Road resurfacing continues. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Route 68 at Matlock Drive to Missouri Route 8 at Courtois Creek. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2023.
Interstate 44 – Road resurfacing continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2023.
Washington County
Missouri Route 21 from Juliette Road and Missouri Route 47 – Culvert pipe replacement planned Aug. 28 - 29. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 8 – Pavement repair planned Aug. 28 - 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
