Various lane and ramp closures scheduled for I-435 in Clay County, Aug. 21 -27

CLAY COUNTY – Crews will be performing pavement repair operations 24 hrs. on I-435 in Clay County that will require various lane and ramp closures. Once pavement repair operations are complete construction crews will go immediately into milling and resurfacing operations 24 hrs 7 days per week until completed.  Ramps will be closed intermittently and reopened as paving is completed. All work is weather permitting. Motorists may experience delays at the following locations:

Monday, Aug. 21 – Tuesday, Aug. 22

  • Crews will close one lane of I-435 northbound and southbound from U.S. Route 69 to NE 108th Street for pavement repair work (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.).

Tuesday, Aug. 22

  • Crews will close two lanes of I-435 northbound and southbound from U.S. Route 69 to NE 108th Street for milling and resurfacing operations (starting at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and continuing 24 hrs. 7 days per week)

Friday, Aug. 25 – Sunday, Aug. 27

The following ramps will be closed for milling and paving operations:

 

  • Crews will close I-435 S to US 69, US 69 to I-35 S, I-435 N to I- 35 S on Friday, Aug. 25 (24 hrs.)
  • Crews will close 435-S to 35-S, 35-N to US 69, I-35 N to I-435 S on Friday, Aug. 26 to Sunday, Aug. 27 (24 hrs.)
  • Crews will close I-35 S to I-435 S, I-435 N to I-35 N, US 69  to I-435 N on Sunday, Aug. 27 (24 hrs)

 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
