Where: Westbound U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway) between U.S. Route 65 and the Glenstone Avenue exit in Springfield
When: 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 18
What: Three of four westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) lanes OPEN to traffic, including the westbound Route 60-to-northbound Glenstone Avenue exit ramp. The far right Route 60 lane remains CLOSED while crews continue repair of the sinkhole that opened under the highway yesterday afternoon.
Traffic Impacts:
- Three of four westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) lanes OPEN to traffic between Route 65 and Glenstone Avenue exit in Springfield
- Far right Route 60 lane remains CLOSED while crews continue repairing sinkhole until further notice
- Westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway)-to-northbound Glenstone Avenue exit OPEN to traffic
- North- and southbound Route 65-to-westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) OPEN to traffic
- Expect delays during high traffic volume times
- Watch for crews and large equipment working close to traffic
- No signed detours
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching closure
- Drivers should find alternate routes
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
