Resurfacing to get underway in Morgan and Moniteau counties

Project includes Routes E, K, FF, and TT

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A resurfacing project along multiple routes in Morgan and Moniteau counties is set to begin next week. Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will pave approximately 43 miles along four highways, as part of the project.

Beginning Aug. 21, 2023, Capital Paving & Construction will resurface Route E, beginning at Moniteau County Route W and progress north. When the north portion is complete, they will resurface the southern portion of Route E. They will again start at Route W, this time progressing south and will include Morgan County Route K at this time.

The single-lane work zones will be active Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Flaggers and a pilot car will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. Routes E and K are expected to be complete by Sept. 8, at which time crews will move to Morgan County Routes FF and TT. The entire project is expected to be complete on or before Nov. 1, 2023.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
