TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane Reductions on I-49 in McDonald Co. for Pavement Repairs Beginning Aug. 21

Where: I-49 between the Missouri/Arkansas state line and Mile Marker 5 in McDonald County

When: 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, August 21-25

What: Contractor crews repairing I-49 pavement in both north- and southbound lanes

Traffic Impacts:

  • Traffic reduced to one lane where crews are working
  • Expect delays during high traffic volume times
  • Reduced speed limits through work zones
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zone
  • No signed detour
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
