MoDOT closes section of Carondelet Connector until early 2025

ST. LOUIS – As part of an on-going project to rehabilitate several bridges along Interstate 55 in the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County, MoDOT has closed a section of the Carondelet Connector.

Crews have closed the section of the connector between Grand Drive and Koeln Avenue to allow crews to access portions of the interstate over the railroad crossing under I-55.  The bike trail has been closed for safety, as crews will be working in the area and removing debris from the Interstate 55 bridges over the railroad.

Cyclists who use the connector can detour around the closure using Grand, Loughborough, South Grand and Koeln Avenue.

The connector is expected to remain closed until early 2025.
