JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Construction crews completed work on the bridge over Haw Creek, opening Morgan County Route DD to all traffic. The rehabilitated bridge opened to motorists today, Monday, Aug. 14 – roughly two weeks ahead of schedule.
Crews from Gene Haile Excavating, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed Route DD at the Haw Creek Bridge on April 24 to replace the bridge deck. Originally built in 1965, the deck of the Haw Creek Bridge was in need of replacement. The bridge was scheduled to remain closed through August, but work was completed ahead of schedule and crews reopened the bridge mid-August.
