Public input sought on Route 64 bridge replacement

MoDOT to host virtual meeting, two-week comment period

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is hosting an online public meeting and comment period for a project to replace the Missouri Route 64 bridge over Goodwin Hollow Creek. Interested parties will have the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and provide input about the Lebanon-area project.

The 92-year-old bridge is showing signs of nearing the end of its life cycle, is narrower than today’s standard, and is in need of replacement. The plans for the new bridge include improvements that will enhance safety, drivability, and traffic flow. These improvements are expected to take place in the latter half of 2024 with an estimated cost of $2.3 million (subject to change).

The online meeting will be available at.MoDOT.org/GoodwinHollowCreekBridge. There visitors will find project details and exhibits. Website visitors may also ask questions and make comments about the project during the two-week open comment period, Aug. 7 - 21.

Written comments will also be accepted and should be postmarked on or before Aug. 21, addressed to:
