MoDOT to close lanes on eastbound Interstate 70 at Dardenne Creek for bridge maintenance work

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers traveling in both directions of Interstate 70 in St. Charles County should be aware of increased congestion as crews prepare to close lanes as part of a bridge maintenance project. Crews will be working on eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 at Dardenne Creek. All work is weather permitting.

Starting at 9 p.m., Monday, August 7, crews will close one lane of eastbound I-70 between Route 79 and Dardenne Creek. By 11 p.m., up to three eastbound lanes will close.

The northbound Route 79 on ramp to eastbound I-70 will be closed Tuesday, August 8 and Wednesday, August 9 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.

As work progresses, there will be periodic nightly closures in both the eastbound and westbound lanes. This bridge work is expected to last until fall 2023.
